Centre for Aviation Education Transformation, Media & Knowledge Justice

Redefines aviation learning through EduTech, decolonized curricula, and narrative equity. Advances knowledge justice by empowering underrepresented voices in aviation media and education ecosystems.

The Centre for Aviation Education Transformation, Media & Knowledge Justice is committed to reimagining how knowledge is created, shared, and valued within the global aviation ecosystem. In a sector historically shaped by hierarchical structures and limited inclusivity, this Centre champions a radical reorientation of aviation education and media—centering equity, critical pedagogy, and narrative justice.

The Centre explores the transformation of aviation learning systems by integrating emerging educational technologies (EduTech), community-driven curricula, and interdisciplinary approaches. It advocates for inclusive aviation education policies that close gender, geographic, and digital divides, especially in underrepresented regions and marginalized communities.

At the same time, the Centre interrogates dominant narratives in aviation media—challenging the portrayal, participation, and visibility of women, the Global South, and non-Western voices. It promotes media literacy, counter-narratives, and storytelling as tools for reshaping public discourse, knowledge legitimacy, and cultural perceptions in aviation.

Key research themes include decolonizing aviation education, democratizing access to training and knowledge platforms, and ensuring that aviation learning ecosystems reflect diverse experiences, languages, and worldviews. The Centre also collaborates with universities, regulators, media outlets, and civil society to pilot inclusive educational models and amplify underrepresented voices.

In doing so, the Centre becomes a catalyst for epistemic justice in aviation—ensuring that knowledge is no longer a gatekept commodity but a shared, co-created, and transformative force for inclusive progress.
